Do you see patients in-person?
We work exclusively through telehealth in order to provide services throughout the state of Texas.
Do you have any morning or evening appointments?
We are open Monday to Friday. We’re closed on weekends. Holiday hours may vary, so please call or check our website for specific information on those dates.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept several forms of payment for your convenience, including all major credit cards. We currently do not accept Paypal, Venmo, or similar app payments.
What is telehealth?
Telehealth is a form of appointment in which secure video and audio are utilized to connect you to your healthcare provider. It is similar in most ways to in-person sessions, though simply from a remote location. This means that you do not have to drive to an outpatient clinic and can have your sessions from the comfort of your own home.
Can I record sessions?
Our clinic policies prohibit recording of sessions without awareness and consent from both parties. If there are particular components that you would like to have access to a recording, feel free to discuss options with Dr. Lippe.
Do you prescribe medications?
Psychologists do not prescribe medications in the state of Texas. For medication options, we are happy to refer you to a psychiatrist or other medical provider.
Can you diagnose?
Yes, psychologists can make formal mental health diagnoses. We use diagnostic criteria and coding from the DSM-V-TR, the same diagnostic criteria used by MD’s including psychiatrists.
How long does therapy take? How many sessions should I expect?
As each patient brings unique concerns, it’s difficult to state a specific number of sessions. For many, a typical course of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ranges from 8 to 12 sessions.
However, this number could be shorter or longer depending on your particular needs. Dr. Lippe can provide more specific estimates for you after getting to know your goals during your initial visit.

Can I see you when I’m in a hospital?
It may be possible to conduct telehealth sessions while admitted to a hospital. This depends, in part, on the specific hospital’s policies. Contact Dr. Lippe with any questions.
