Assessment by Health Psychology Texas

For most, the Initial Visit is typically an assessment of your current biopsychosocial functioning and establishes a framework from which a therapy treatment plan may be created for you.
For some, you may be needing a specific type of psychological assessment called a pre-surgical evaluation. These types of evaluations explore psychological factors related to certain types of surgeries and medical procedures.
We have listed below some examples of surgeries and procedures that may require psychology clearance.
We do the Following Psychological Evaluations for Surgery

- Heart Transplant
- Lung Transplant
- Liver Transplant (and Living Donor)
- Kidney Transplant (and Living Donor)
- Bariatric Procedures
- Disability Assessments
- Spinal Cord Stimulator (and similar Pain-related procedures)
- Cosmetic Surgery
- Other Plastic Surgeries
We do NOT do These Types of Evaluations
